Those are the cutest caterpillars I've ever seen! Great fine motor activity and the patterning is impressive! Our eggs have tiny holes...I have to see if our pipe cleaners will fit through the holes!

I just tried it but the pipe cleaners were too tight so I used fun wire which worked perfectly! Now, I just need more easter eggs so I can use this for our church project! Thanks again!

Woooww great work and I agree about kids’ high level of concentration and determination. Well done with the pictures, it’s a very good documentation, showing the process and the product. IB Teachers are encouraged to document in the same fashion.
How do you get the holes big enough for the pipe cleaners?
I just love this idea! So clever! I can't wait to use it with my preschool class and my own children. Thanks for sharing!

This was a fun activity for my 7 yo,but the 4 yo couldn't thread the pipe cleaners through the holes.
Made these tonight with my three-year-old daughter! She loved it and they turned out so cute! She wants me to get more eggs tomorrow, so we can make more!
Where did you find eggs with 2 holes?? I'm not having luck and these would be great for my 3 yo preschool project! :)
I found the eggs with two holes in them both at Big Lots and Walmart.
