Shadows and Crayon Rubbings

We have really been taking advantage of the lovely fall weather. We know that soon enough, all of our outdoor play space will be covered in fluffy white snow.

Today, we brought the crayons out and had some fun with texture rubbings. We started with some leaves.

Then we tried a couple of tree trunks, and some of the play equipment....

We also discovered that we could have a great puppet play if we sat in the sand and let the sun help us make shadows with our hands.

There is a pumpkin,

a flying vulture,

a diamond,

and a talking bird man.
